Mark your calendars on April 13th and May 30th, people who are living in Perth!
Why, you ask?
Well, big international acts like Pussycat Dolls, Lady GaGa and Jason Mraz are coming to town! April 13th is the Blues and Roots festival, where numerous local and international acts will be performing. Starting from April 9th through April 13th, this festival is not to be missed for blues listeners. In May, Lady Gaga will be performing alongside Pussycat Dolls in a one day only concert in Perth. The Queen of electro-pop Lady Gaga, get ready to be "wowed" by her sexy outfits, unmistakable voice and hit singles such as "Just Dance" and "Poker Face"
I'm guilty of listening non-stop to "Poker Face". I hate to admit it but I'm actually listening to electro-pop! Apparently, I'm a closet electro-pop listener =P It is very addictive, okay? Ever since I came to Ozzie, its been on the airplay in every departmental store I went to, infecting my earbuds with the chorus. It came to a point where I couldn't take it anymore and I went to Kmart to get a copy of the album. I think this is the first time in years that I bought an actual original CD. Ever since the emergence of mp3 downloads, I have not been buying any CDs, no matter how much I like the artist. But the limitations of my bandwidth here in Perth has restricted my downloading close to none.
Fret not, however! I shall be listening and WATCHING Lady Gaga perform live soon! I hope I can get tickets. Its been awhile since I've went to a live concert with an international superstar performing. They don't come to Malaysia to perform and even when they do, I usually am too "kiamsiap" to pay for the tickets.
Anyway, I'll just leave you with another breathtaking photo of the sunset last evening.
Everyone has a favourite tune that they play on repeat in their mp3 players. I am guilty of that, at least. But as I grow older by the year, it has changed from Spice Girls to Avril Lavigne to Linkin Park to Good Charlotte to 30 seconds to mars and now Youth Alive. That's alot of changes! And I feel that my music tastes improve through time. I think I mentioned somewhere in my previous post that the Western Australia Youth Alive band visited. It was last year but I can't recall which date exactly.
One song that stuck on my mind was One Glorious Day. I couldn't find the song anywhere and I was frustrated because I really love the song. Finally after so many months (almost a year) I found the song while searching for another album on Google. Before this I didn't even know what was the name of the song. I clicked on the link that led me to their myspace account. Its such a beautiful song. I remember crying and feeling the tender touch of God in my heart on the day of the concert. So there it was, the song in streaming format. I know it is illegal to download music, even more for Christian music. I resorted to just listen to it everyday when I go online and play it continuously. I prefer the live version but this is good enough.
Sometimes when you search for something, it takes time. And when the time comes, the moment is ripe; it hits the spot where it is felt most. I needed a new thing from God, a fresh anointing and yes, maybe a song to worship Him from my heart. I almost forgot about this song and was pleasantly surprised to discover this song in the midst of my confusion and troubles. It is like a tourniquet for my pain. Ultimately, Jesus is the Healer and right now I just can't live without Him.
Thank You Lord, for giving me a fresh new breath of life and renewing me each day.
For me, in no particular order would be:
- Backstreet Boys
- N'Sync
- Caught in the Act
- All-4-One
- 911
- 5ive
- Boyz II Men
- The Moffatts
- Boyzone
- Take That
Yeah, my embarrassing teenybopper adulations of the 90's. I'm sure there are alot more, but these are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

I was sick last Monday till the beginning of this week. For quite some time I was even offline because of problems with the Internet. Somehow I wasn't even too bothered about it, was too busy with college work.
I weighed myself today...2kgs heavier!!! Sigh, and I thought I've worked really hard in the gym. Shouldn't eat so much any more. I stopped believing in dieting because I think that since life is short and there is just too many good food to miss out, why suffer? Hardcore dieters who read this will instantly send me hate mail I think.
Anyway, I've been hunting for 3 CDs. I got them when I was in Japan about 6-7 years ago. In 2003, I had a very bad car accident and a collection of my CDs were taken away. Some of it were really precious cos they were gifts from my friends.
These are the CDs I'm looking for:
From L-R: hitomi's Samurai Drive, GLAY's Drive and GLAY's One Love.
Does anyone know where to get these cheap? Would really appreciate it!
I joined a gym few years back. Perhaps when I was 16. So that means I've been in gym for about 7 years? But I didn't stay long in the first gym I went because another better bigger gym opened and it has more facilities than the former gym. But during the time that I've been in gym, what keeps me going back for more is the Les Mills classes. They have a number of classes offered and most major gyms has the license to use the classes in their gyms.
Before I joined Celebrity Fitness, I was in Fitness Network. They offered almost all of Les Mills classes and I was addicted to the BodyJam and BodyStep. Soon, I began to join their BodyPump and BodyCombat. All of these classes makes you work out and sweat. You'll feel energised after each class. Only when I joined Celebrity that I began joining RPM which is now my favourite class. I go RPM almost everyday. Since Celeb doesn't offer BodyJam and BodyStep; and BodyPump and BodyCombat can be pretty stale, RPM is the best Les Mills workout for me.
Anyway back to the topic of the songs. The music that Les Mills uses for its RPM classes are energetic, upbeat and sure to motivate you on. I've managed to download some of the songs that I heard during class, although it was hard to find out the name of the song since I only know how it goes and I couldn't catch the lyrics.
So far my favourites are:
Cheap Trick - I Want You To Want Me
Daniel Bedingfield - Friday
Evermore - Running
OK, I tried to upload the songs but they take forever. So I encourage you to download them using a P2P or Bittorrent. You won't regret it! They are the perfect workout music.
